INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

I was a fundamentalist, devout Catholic. I even went to the seminary 50 years ago, for a number of year. As i study Catholic philosophy and theology, I learned that what the church taught to its parishioners was not the true Catholicism. In the spiritual teaching of the Church, God was all merciful and loving. He was not a God of vengeance. In the New Testament, he identified his two most significant commandments:

36 Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?  37 Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind.  38 This is the greatest and the first commandment.  39 And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  40 On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.

MATTHEW 22:36 – 40

Christianity was not a life of “thou shalt not,” it was dedication to thou shalt love God and all his Creations.

I became disillusioned with all organized institurional religion, but maintained my faith in God. A few years ago I met an recovering alcoholic/drug addict who expressed to me how a higher power helped him remain sober for almost 40 years. As our Friendship developed, I began to feel inspired to write religious essays espousing God’s infinite love and mercy and His Desire that we follow the Two Eminent Comandments of the New Testament. These inspiration is from the Grace of the Holy Spirit who is God’s manifestation on Earth.

I want to share this infinitely loving and merciful God of the New Testament with as many people as I can.
